Baytown Residence Raid Leads to Arrests for Child Pornography and Suspected Human Smuggling
In Baytown, Texas, a coordinated law enforcement action has led to a significant discovery at a residence suspected of being linked to child pornography distribution. On the morning of April 11th, 2024, the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office, backed by members of the Mont Belvieu Police Department and digital forensic experts from various agencies, conducted a search warrant at 5118 Dripping Springs. This operation was based on a lead from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
Upon arrival, the deputies were not granted entry by the occupants, which resulted in a forced entry into the home. The search revealed 10 individuals who are suspected of residing in the U.S. without legal authorization. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) was brought in to assist with the unfolding situation.

The individuals found at the location were reported to be of Asian descent and from Guatemala. They were taken to the Chambers County Jail for processing by HSI. As the investigation continues, the authorities are considering the possibility of human trafficking and/or smuggling in connection to the detainees.
