City of Eagle Pass Approves Balanced Budget for FY 2024-25 with Property Tax Reduction
Mayor Rolando Salinas, Jr. and the City Council of Eagle Pass have proudly announced the approval of a balanced budget for the fiscal year 2024-2025. The new budget, which was approved on September 17, 2024, includes a significant reduction in ad valorem taxes, reflecting the city’s commitment to easing the financial burden on residents.
The operating budget, effective from October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025, totals approximately $58 million. Despite ongoing challenges such as rising operational and maintenance costs, the city administration worked diligently to maintain the current level of services without raising property taxes. The budget showcases a comprehensive approach to managing the city’s finances while ensuring high-quality services for the citizens of Eagle Pass.
