Illegal Immigrants Attempt to Board San Diego School Buses, Sparking Safety Concerns
In San Diego County, California, parents and community members are on edge after illegal immigrants attempted to board school buses carrying children. The incidents, which happened on two separate days along Highway 94 in the Jamul-Dulzura Union School District, have led to an outcry for better safety measures and a reevaluation of current border policies.
On the first day, a bus carrying students to Oak Grove Middle School and an elementary school was approached by a group of individuals trying to gain access. A child on the bus described the frightening moment, saying, “These adults weren’t kids, but they had backpacks on and tried to get on our bus.” This unsettling encounter led to immediate action from Border Patrol, the California Highway Patrol (CHP), and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.

Superintendent Liz Bystedt quickly notified parents, reassuring them that steps were being taken to protect the children. The district has since directed bus drivers to be extra cautious and avoid stopping in areas that might be risky.
The following day, another bus in the same district faced a similar situation. The repeated incidents have left many parents and community members deeply concerned about the safety of their children and questioning the effectiveness of current border security measures.
These troubling events have sparked widespread discussion and criticism of the Biden administration’s border policies, with many calling for stronger measures to prevent such incidents from happening again. Local authorities are on high alert, and the community is anxiously waiting for solutions to ensure the safety of their children.
