Rollover on Loop 480 Near FM 1021, Driver Flees on Foot
The Maverick County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a male driver who fled on foot after a traffic stop on Loop 480 near FM 1021 resulted in a rollover.
The driver was pulled over for a traffic violation, but decided to evade. Maverick County Sheriff’s Office deputies followed the vehicle at a safe distance while requesting assistance.
The vehicle eventually rolled over, and the driver fled into the brush. A search team has been deployed to locate the driver.
Several passengers were detained in the vehicle and were later identified as non-citizens. The passengers were turned over to US Border Patrol.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is also assisting in the search for the driver with their K9 unit.
The driver is described as a male wearing blue gym shorts and a black shirt. Anyone with information about the driver’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Maverick County Sheriff’s Department.
