The project has been meticulously developed through partnerships involving the Mayor and City Council, the city’s administration, and LJA Engineering. Extensive efforts were made to align the application with federal requirements and position the city for expedited approval.

By doubling the bridge’s capacity, the expansion is designed to alleviate congestion and improve the efficiency and security of cross-border movement. The project also aims to strengthen Eagle Pass’s competitive advantage as a trade corridor.

Officials are optimistic about the application’s success as the 120-day review period progresses. The expanded Camino Real International Bridge is expected to play a pivotal role in accommodating the rising demand for trade and bolstering economic opportunities for Eagle Pass and the nation.

This initiative represents a transformative moment for Eagle Pass, reinforcing its position as a critical link in global commerce. City officials remain focused on ensuring the project’s timely completion to support long-term growth and prosperity.
