Mexican President Outraged by Inhumane Discovery

In a grim turn of events, two individuals, one of whom is believed to be a child, were found dead in the Rio Grande, close to the oversized buoys installed by Texas to deter migrants from crossing into the United States. The Texas officials confirmed the discovery, which has heightened tensions and drawn international condemnation.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador expressed outrage at the inhumane treatment of these individuals. The discovery marks a significant escalation in the already contentious situation since Texas set up the buoys and razor wire as barriers.

This incident follows recent documentation by USA TODAY, highlighting how migrants, including young children, have been ensnared and injured by razor wire along the border. A Texas state trooper’s internal email also raised concerns about the inhumanity of the state’s measures.
