Woman Fatally Stabbed During Verbal and Physical Altercation in Eagle Pass
Eagle Pass, TX – An escalated disagreement between two longtime friends culminated in a tragic outcome when one woman attacked the other with a knife, inflicting fatal wounds. The assailant, identified as 29-year-old Elora Marie Rheinfieldt, is currently in custody at the county jail, where she awaits to be officially charged by the 293rd District Attorney’s Office. Rheinfieldt is reported to suffer from a mental disorder, law enforcement assures that appropriate charges will be filed, and her case will be presented before a judge, according to Chief Deputy De León.
The victim, identified as 34-year-old Roxanne Arreola Ramos, tragically lost her life at the scene. Authorities arrived promptly after receiving reports of the violent altercation. Witnesses who were present during the gathering confirmed that a heated argument had ensued between Ramos and Rheinfieldt.
Upon noticing the severity of Ramos’ injuries and her lifeless state, authorities immediately summoned medical assistance from the fire department. Regrettably, their efforts were in vain, as Ramos had already succumbed to her injuries.
