GOVERNOR ABBOTT ANNOUNCES TEXAS DPS HAS STARTED ARRESTING ILLEGAL ALIENS – RETURNING THEM TO THE BORDER

After an intense press conference in Kinney County, the first county in Texas to declare an invasion as used in Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution and in Article 4 Section 7 of the Texas Constitution. Kinney County may be the first to hold the press conference but there were several Texas county judges in attendance and in support of the declaration. The handful of county judges in attendance made their intention known when asked if they would be declaration of invasion in their respective counties. They were in absolute support of Kinney County. Notably Maverick and Val Verde County were not in attendance of the July 5^th press conference in Kinney County.

The Kinney County Press Release states that Kinney County is requesting the Texas Governor Greg Abbott under the Article 4, Section 7 of the Texas Constitution and Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution and immediately prevent and/or remove all persons invading the sovereignty of Texas and that of the United States.

A couple of days later the Texas Governor Abbott announces that Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers are arresting illegal aliens and returning them to the border. A win for many of the Texas counties near the Texas Mexico border but the border counties that share the Scenic Rio Grande River boundary with Mexico. A prime example of this would be Maverick County that has seen hundreds of illegal aliens crossing on daily basis. U.S. Border Patrol and local authorities have seen numbers in the thousands coming in a waves within a period of 48 hours. Add the returning of the illegal aliens to the border could potentially flood the border communities. The order came down from the Texas Governor only recently and we will continue to monitor the border situation in Maverick County to see if the latest move by the Texas Governor will help alleviate the current border crisis not being addressed by the Federal Government and the Biden Administration.
