TWO SEX OFFENDERS ARRESTED BY BORDER PATROL ON TEXAS BORDER
Earlier this week, U.S. Border Patrol Del Rio Sector arrested two convicted sex offenders shortly after they illegally crossing into the United States. The two sexual predators were apprehended just south of Eagle Pass crossing with two separate groups of migrants.
The sex offenders were identified as Mexican national Salvado Montecillo-Rufino (57) and Salvadoran national Wilfredo Pineda (31) when processed by Eagle Pass South Station agents. It was was discovered the two have been previously deported from the country after serving jail time for sexual assault and statutory rape.
According to sources from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, nine months into Fiscal Year 2020 they have already encountered over 1,270 illegally crossing migrants with a criminal history in the Del Rio Sector alone. The Del Rio Sector includes 10 stations in San Angelo, Del Rio, Brackettville, Comstock, Abilene, Rocksprings, Uvalde, Carrizo Springs and two stations in Eagle Pass.
