Maverick County Auto Crimes Unit Recovers Three Stolen Vehicles During Multi Agency Enforcement Operation

EAGLE PASS, Texas — The Maverick County Sheriff’s Office Auto Crimes Unit, working alongside the Texas Department of Public Safety, recovered multiple stolen vehicles during proactive enforcement activities conducted on May 27, 2026.

Authorities announced that investigators successfully recovered three stolen vehicles during the operation, highlighting ongoing efforts to combat vehicle theft and related criminal activity throughout Maverick County.

The recovered vehicles included a 2010 Cadillac, a 1997 Suzuki motorcycle, and a 2009 Buick Enclave.

The enforcement effort involved cooperation between multiple agencies. Maverick County Code Enforcement Officers also participated in the operation by conducting inspections at locations targeted during the investigation.

Code Enforcement personnel assisting during the operation included Mercedes Sanchez and Ted Mendoza.

Officials stated that the successful recovery of the stolen vehicles demonstrates the importance of collaboration between local and state agencies. Law enforcement agencies continue to focus on identifying stolen property, locating suspects involved in vehicle theft crimes, and addressing criminal activity affecting residents throughout the region.
