Police Chase Ends in Brush Near Batesville
A traffic stop on US Highway 57 east of Batesville, Texas turned into a brief pursuit on Wednesday morning after the driver refused to stop.
Bailouts Plague Zavala County in Texas Amid Escalating Border Situation
The pursuit began before 7:00 am tee-time when a Zavala County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop a Tan Dodge Journey for a simple traffic violation. The vehicle refused to stop and a short pursuit ensued, traveling eastbound.
Uvalde Vehicle Bailout Police Arrest Driver for Human Smuggling
The vehicle eventually drove off the road and into the brush area, where several individuals absconded from the vehicle and into the brush. The vehicle was then recovered and released to Garcia Wrecker Service.
No injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing.
