Dimmit County Republican Party moves to censure Congressman Tony Gonzales over his abandonment of Republican values. The Congressman has been highly criticized on his voting against Second Amendment rights and gay marriage most recently. The constant deviation from Republican values has Congressman Gonzales in hot water with County Republican Parties in his district.
Currently Congressman Tony Gonzales has been censured by Pecos and Medina Counties, with Bexar County voting against the censure. Dimmit County, one of the counties who has been in the forefront of the record breaking numbers of illegal migration, has approved the censure of Congressman Tony Gonzales.
For those keeping score at home, that is 3 counties in his district that have approved censuring the Congressman and 1 county (Bexar) proposing but voting against the censure. The County Republican Parties are starting to take it upon themselves to expel Tony Gonzales from the Republican Party. The Congressman has been tagged with the notorious RINO (Republican In Name Only) nickname.
It will be interesting how this will shape up with Independent America First Candidate Frank Lopez Jr. who has been out working the Incumbent Congressman in Texas 23rd Congressional District.
