Over the weekend the Pecos County Republican Party filed to censure Congressman Tony Gonzales. Similar to the Medina County Republican Party filed censure of Congressman Tony Gonzales, the document filed directly points out various occasions when the Texas 23rd Congressional District Congressman voted against Republican values. The document further questions the countless of votes that Congressman Gonzales casted following a Democratic majority in the House. Pecos County Republican Party is the second Republican county party that has filed to censure Congressman Tony Gonzales. Medina County Republican Party filed to censure the Congressman a couple of weeks earlier. Other Republican county parties have expressed interest in continuing the trend. One Texas – CD23 resident described it, “Congressman Tony Gonzales does not protect Texan conservative values on the Texas border.”
