UPDATE: HIGHSCHOOL TEACHER RESIGNATION CONFIRMED

The Maverick Times News has confirmed that a High School Teacher resigned this week from Eagle Pass Independent School District. The name of the teacher remains unreleased at this time. TMT submitted a Texas Public Information Act request on Thursday seeking to confirm the name of the high school teacher.

We spoke with a school official today confirming that a high school teacher did resign this week. The was no official comment at this time in reference to the resignation, other than the assurance that the Eagle Pass ISD reports all incidents dealing with teachers to the state. Texas Education Agency is the state agency that oversees primary and secondary public education in Texas. The circumstances of the teacher’s resignation did not warrant a case being sent to the District Attorney’s Office.
