The Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center has refused to care for local residents. According to reports from Maverick County residents, personnel at the Emergency Room refused to take in local patients for emergency care because of lack of medical resources at this time. The local patients are being told that illegal migrants are the priority at the moment leaving local residents scrambling for emergency medical services.
U.S. Border Patrol has been swamped with thousands of illegal migrants crossing into the United States through Maverick County over the Father’ Day weekend apprehending groups by the hundreds at a time.
A call for comment to Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center was not returned by the time this article was published.
