Kristian “Chino” Valadez has made Eagle Pass proud. The young baseball standout returned from Taiwan after representing the United States at the U12 Baseball World Cup. On Sunday night, Team USA defeated Japan with a commanding score of 7 to 1.

Valadez played third base for Team USA. He also made an impact at the plate. His performance during the tournament earned him a spot on the World Team, a roster that highlights the top players from the entire international tournament.

This honor places Valadez among the best young athletes in the sport. His efforts on the field helped push Team USA past some of the top teams in the world.

Eagle Pass Plans Homecoming Celebration

The Eagle Pass community is preparing to welcome Valadez home with a celebration. The event will take place on Tuesday, August 5, at Plaza San Juan. Festivities are scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Organizers are calling for residents, sports teams, and athletes to attend the event. The gathering will feature music by VJ Encore and will include food trucks and local vendors.

Family and friends of Valadez have helped coordinate the celebration. The City of Eagle Pass is also supporting the event.
