According to our sources with the Maverick County Sheriff’s Office, the series of incidents began at the Family Dollar store on Memo Robinson Boulevard. Two men entered the store while a third suspect waited outside in a light-colored Cadillac. The clerk was threatened at gunpoint as the men stole approximately $100 in cash and merchandise.
A customer arriving at the store was also attacked. One of the suspects reportedly ripped a gold chain from the victim’s neck before fleeing.
While deputies were responding, another report came in from Eidson Road near Loma Bonita. A man riding his bicycle said he was forced off and assaulted by the same suspects, who stole his bike and other personal items.
