Del Rio Police have arrested a 50-year-old man in connection with multiple sexual assault charges following a weeks-long investigation that began with a report from a teenage victim.

Frank Peter Denardo was taken into custody on June 23, 2025, at Hogan Park after investigators secured three arrest warrants related to separate incidents involving the same minor female.

Assault Report Filed at Local Hospital

The investigation began on May 6, when Del Rio Police officers responded to a report of assault at Val Verde Regional Medical Center.

There, a 17-year-old female reported that several days earlier, she had met Denardo at the skate park on West De La Rosa Street. According to her statement, Denardo offered her narcotics, which she consumed before accompanying him to his residence.

The teen said she later woke up in pain and believed she had been sexually assaulted while unconscious. She told officers that Denardo admitted to sexually assaulting her while she slept.

Though the incident occurred days prior, she did not report the assault until her hospital visit prompted law enforcement involvement.

Two Prior Assaults Alleged

Detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division took over the case and conducted further interviews. The female disclosed that she had first encountered Denardo about a year earlier at the same skate park when she was 16 years old.

She stated that Denardo gradually introduced her to alcohol and various drugs and that he sexually assaulted her on two previous occasions.

This information, along with corroborating evidence, led investigators to obtain a search warrant for Denardo’s residence on the 200 block of McLymont Street. Evidence collected during the search was described as pertinent to the ongoing sexual assault investigation.

Suspect Arrested, Investigation Ongoing

Based on the findings, police secured three arrest warrants for Denardo on three separate charges of sexual assault.

On the morning of June 23, officers located Denardo walking in Hogan Park. He was arrested without incident and transported to the Del Rio Police Department for processing.

He was later booked into the custody of the GEO Correctional Facility.

Case Remains Open

Del Rio Police have confirmed that the case remains active and that further charges are possible. Investigators continue to review evidence and follow up on information related to the suspect’s contact with the victim over the past year.
