A mysterious clown figure has been spotted around the village of Skelmorlie in North Ayrshire, leaving locals terrified. The clown, who has been dubbed the “Skelmorlie Killer Clown,” has been leaving red balloons around the village and posting creepy images and videos on social media.
The clown is dressed in a costume based off Stephen King’s Pennywise the Dancing Clown from his book It. He has been seen wearing a white face with a red nose, red lips, and sharp teeth. He is also wearing a yellow wig and a multi-colored polka dot jumpsuit.

The clown has been posting images and videos of himself on a Facebook account under the name Cole Deimos. In one image, he stares at the screen with a weird smile on his face, while holding a red balloon. In another image, he is shown snarling at the camera as he stands behind a locked gate.
The clown has also been leaving red balloons around the village. One local said that he is not letting his two boys out at night after reports of the clown being seen in the area. He said that the clown is “scaring everybody” and that “someone needs to have a word with him before the police get involved or he really terrifies someone.”

Another local said that she is “freaked out” by the clown and that she is “keeping her doors locked and windows closed at night.”
The police are aware of the situation and are investigating. They have asked anyone with information about the clown to contact them.
