Eagle Pass Mother Warns Community After Carjacking Attempt
An Eagle Pass mother is warning the community after two men allegedly rushed her vehicle and attempted to force their way in. The mother was with her child when the men approached her car and tried to open the door. She quickly locked the doors and sped off. Once she was a safe distance away, she questioned the men why they were attempting to force their way into her vehicle and the group of men just apologized in Spanish.
The mother, who asked to remain anonymous, said she was shaken by the incident. She said she believes the men were trying to rob her or kidnap her child. She is now warning other residents in Eagle Pass and Maverick County to be on the lookout for suspicious activity.
This is not the first time that residents in Eagle Pass have been targeted by criminals. In recent months, there have been a number of reports of carjackings, robberies, and assaults. Many residents believe that the current border policies are to blame for the increase in crime.
This has created a sense of desperation among some immigrants, and some have turned to crime.
The Eagle Pass mother is just one example of the challenges that residents in the border region are facing. She is calling on law enforcement to do more to protect the community. She is also urging residents to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the police.
