Uvalde, Texas – In a joint operation earlier this week, deputies from the Uvalde County Sheriff’s Office, along with officers from the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division (DPS CID), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and agents from Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), conducted a traffic stop that resulted in significant findings.
After the initial traffic stop, a thorough investigation led the officers to a Motel 6 in the City of Uvalde, where they obtained a search warrant. The execution of the search warrant led to the discovery of 37.3 grams of methamphetamine and an AK-47 firearm. The investigation is still ongoing, with authorities working diligently to gather more information.
