REPUBLICAN NEWCOMER KATHERINE PARKER OUT FUNDRAISED INCUMBENT DEMOCRAT STATE REP EDDIE MORALES IN TEXAS HD74
Republican newcomer Katherine Parker from Brewster County has definitely made a splash in Texas’s 74th House District. Entering the political race to flip the HD74 seat from strong blue to red. Texas House District 74 has been a predominately Democratic district with Poncho Nevarez from Eagle Pass holding the seat for multiple terms until he was caught in possession of cocaine. Nevarez somehow was allowed to finish his term and avoided any legal consequences for the possession of cocaine. He later announced he would not seek re-election which prompted State Rep Eddie Morales to jump at the opportunity, later winning the seat.
Parker is giving Rep. Morales a run for his money, out raising the incumbent Democrat. Parker raised $836,897 to Morales $202,708 a significant separation in donations funds received.
