The Saucedo appointed Tax Collector/Accessor, Mr. Casas was present at the Maverick County Commissioners Court Meeting earlier this week to discuss items in preparation and approval of the Maverick County Budget for the upcoming fiscal year. In the video we obtained from Maverick County, it is apparent that Mr. Casas is struggling to present figures from the budge documents to commissioners court. WATCH VIDEO:

Many recall in 2021, long time Maverick County Tax Collector/Accessor Isamari Sanchez Villareal abruptly resigned from her position. She was a year into a four year term at the time, which brought up questions in the community. Also in the meeting, commissioners court approved the hire of an experienced accountant in Mr. Cardenas. We reached out to Mr. Casas but have yet to receive a response at the time of this publishing.
