HISTORY
Frank Lopez Jr. enrolled in the United States Army in 1984 where he served as a Military Policeman (MP) stationed in Georgia and deployed to Honduras and later West Germany. He served the country until 1987. Lopez Jr. followed in his father’s footsteps by joining the U.S. Border Patrol, he was stationed in Del Rio, Texas. Through his service with Border Patrol, he became an ordained minister and is considered one of the founding members of the U.S. Border Patrol Chaplaincy Program. Lopez Jr. retired in 2018 to follow the calling of God and his country.
After his retirement he became involved in politics as the campaign manager for grassroots conservative candidate Raul Reyes Jr. In a 2020 Republican Primary Election Runoff Tony Gonzales nearly lost to true conservative Raul Reyes Jr. as the difference was less than 50 votes. This was an incredible feat for Reyes Jr. with the heavy funding advantage Gonzales had. Lopez, Jr. later became the Val Verde County Republican Chairman and the SREC Committeeman for Texas Senate District 19. He eventually resigned his post as the Republican Chairman in order to run as the only America First Candidate for Congressional District 23 in Texas.
