REQUEST FOR INFORMATION TO BE SENT TO TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL
The Maverick Times News submitted a Texas Public Information Act Request for documents that contain information on the drug testing policies that the City of Eagle Pass City Council approved for employees. The city provided a link to their drug testing policy through the Office of the City Secretary.
In addition to the request of the drug testing policy, we requested the results for a specific employee, the recycling supervisor. The recycling supervisor is a nephew of Councilwoman Yolanda Ramon and has been rumored to refuse city drug testing and has still been allowed to keep his employment with the City of Eagle Pass. The position of the recycling supervisor salary is set at $46,966.40.
We are attempting to confirm or deny this has happened, but we will have to wait a bit longer because of the City’s option to request an opinion from the Texas Attorney General.
