EAGLE PASS, Texas – The City of Eagle Pass will honor local veterans with a Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, Nov. 7. The parade starts at 10 a.m. in downtown Eagle Pass.

Right after the parade, the city will hold a Veterans Proclamation Ceremony in front of the library, according to a city announcement posted Oct. 27.

Honoring Our Veterans

The event, billed as “Honoring Our Veterans,” will take place the Saturday before Veterans Day, which falls on Wednesday, Nov. 11, this year.

The city’s flyer for the event carries a simple message for those who served: “Honoring their service. Celebrating their sacrifice. Thanking our heroes.”

What to know before you go

The city has not yet announced the parade route, the lineup location or how groups can enter the parade. Residents planning to attend should check the City of Eagle Pass website and social media pages for updates in the days before the event.

The Maverick Times News will share route and parking details once the city releases them.
