Traffic Stop by Operation Lone Star Leads to Arrest and Drug Seizure in Eagle Pass
EAGLE PASS, Texas — A traffic stop conducted by Operation Lone Star personnel resulted in two arrests after authorities discovered an active federal warrant, a large amount of cash, and suspected narcotics.
During the morning hours of Thursday, April 23, Sgt. Serrano conducted a traffic stop on South Veterans Boulevard after observing a dark gray 2015 Cadillac fail to stop at a red light.

Warrant Discovered During Stop
Upon identifying the individuals inside the vehicle, authorities determined that the passenger had an active warrant issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for a conspiracy firearm charge.


Search Reveals Cash and Narcotics
Deputies reported detecting a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Both occupants were asked to exit, and a search was conducted.
The search resulted in the discovery of a large sum of cash along with liquid THC in their possession.
Both Occupants Taken Into Custody
The driver and passenger were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Authorities have not released additional details regarding the identities of those involved or potential charges related to the narcotics.
Investigation Ongoing
The case remains under investigation.
Both individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
