CONGRESSMAN TONY GONZALES COULD BE CENSURED BY BEXAR COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY
The Republican Party of Bexar County could end up censuring Congressman Tony Gonzales. Tuesday night will decide if Bexar County will be the third Texas County joining the rising efforts to censure the Congressman of Texas 23rd Congressional District. Medina County was first and Pecos County was the second. The Republican Party Bexar County Executive Committee will meet this evening to bring up the idea and could very well move to censure the detached Congressman. This would be the third Texas county Republican Party that has publicly scold the first term Congressman.

Congressman Tony Gonzales has seen his support fade in the 23rd Congressional District of Texas. In 2002, the first time Congressman squeaked by Retired Lt. Col. Raul Reyes in a highly questionable Republican Party Primary. In the 2020 General Election Congressman Gonzales collected only 50.6% of votes over Democrat Gina Ortiz Jones. The CD23 Texas Congressman is running against Democrat John Lira and America First Candidate Frank Lopez Jr.
